Apply body oil and shower
One beauty blogger recently said that her favorite way to start exfoliation is applying rich body oil (for example coconut oil) onto her skin. After a couple of minutes she showers with warm water and her skin is ready for her favorite exfoliator.
When the skin is still wet, apply the chosen exfoliator and massage in circular motions for a few minutes. Focus especially on the areas such as scars, stretch marks, breakouts or cellulite. Rinse off the scrub well with warm water so you get rid of the dead skin cells. You can also use a washcloth.
Apply lotion or moisturizer

Exfoliate your face as well
Now that your body is all soft and smooth, it’s time to treat your face as well! Wash it with warm water and apply your favorite exfoliator – a cleanser, scrub, mask or peeling. Massage it onto your face in circular motions and continue massaging for approximately 30 seconds – begin with your forehead, continue to your nose and cheeks and finish with your chin and neck. Rinse with lukewarm water and apply some drops of skin oil when you are done so your skin gets extra hydration.
